Brussels Webcam - City Parade 2010 Live

The City Parade is a festival of electronic dance music which will be held in Brussels on 21 August 2010. The 10th edition of the festival will take place around the Atomium, with a parade of trucks and several concerts on 3 stages.

The City Parade will close with an after party at Palace 5 of Brussels Expo, from 10 pm to 6 am. Ticket price 25 euro

Reykjavik Webcam - Glitnir Reykjavik Marathon 2010

Glitnir Reykjavik Marathon is an annual marathon arranged in Reykjavík, Iceland since 1984. It is held in August every year, to coincide with the annual Cultural Night Festival of Reykjavik. Along with the full marathon, a half marathon and several races of shorter distances are arranged as well. In 2008 a total of 10.719 competed in the various events that were held, and 567 competed in the full marathon.

Location information:

Reykjavík is the capital and largest city of Iceland. Its latitude at 64°08' N makes it the world's northernmost capital of a sovereign state. It is located in southwestern Iceland, on the southern shore of Faxaflói Bay. With a population of around 120,000 (and over 200,000 in the Greater Reykjavík Area) it is the heart of Iceland's economic and governmental activity.

Reykjavík is believed to be the location of the first permanent settlement in Iceland, which Ingólfur Arnarson is said to have established around 870. Until the 18th century, there was no urban development in the city location. The city was founded in 1786 as an official trading town and grew steadily over the next decades, as it transformed into a regional and later national centre of commerce, population and governmental activities.

The 34th annual Bodysurfing contest sponsored by Scott Hubbell Productions Inc. Contest is taking place at Oceanside Beach this weekend. The event is run in heats by age group.

Oceanside is the third-largest city in San Diego County, California. The city has a population of about 179,681. Together with Carlsbad and Vista, it forms a tri-city area. The city is located just south of Camp Pendleton, the busiest military base in the United States. Oceanside has experienced dramatic growth since 1970, when its population was 45,000. Much of the city's area was developed into single-family home tracts during the 1970s and 1980s. Since the 1990s, increased commercial and industrial development have diversified Oceanside's economic base.

The Oceanside Pier, first built in 1888 (and now in its sixth incarnation), is the longest wooden pier on the western United States coastline at 1,954 feet (596m).
Oceanside is home to Mission San Luis Rey de Francia, one of the Alta California missions.

Oceanside is also known for the nature grounds of Mount Ecclesia, launched in 1911. This place is the location of the international headquarters of a fraternal and service organization called The Rosicrucian Fellowship. It is also the location of its spiritual healing temple, called "The Ecclesia", situated upon the promontory of a high mesa.
