Camp Nou, sometimes called "the Nou Camp" in English, is a football stadium in Barcelona, Catalonia. The stadium, located in the west of the city, has been the home of FC Barcelona since its construction in 1957.
The Camp Nou seats 99,354, making it the largest stadium in Europe and the eleventh largest in the world in terms of capacity. It has hosted numerous international matches at a senior level including two UEFA Champions League finals, the most recent being in 1999. It also hosted several games, including bronze- and gold-medal matches, for the football competition at the 1992 Summer Olympics hosted by Barcelona. It held UEFA five-star status until 2006, when a new rating system was introduced by UEFA.
Its official name was Estadi del FC Barcelona (FC Barcelona Stadium) until 2000, when the club members voted to formally adopt the popular nickname Camp Nou. Though opposed by current club president Sandro Rosell, FC Barcelona initially approved the sale of its former training ground Mini Estadi to remodel the stadium on its fiftieth anniversary and increase capacity to 104,000 in 2007. The plans are on hold because of the World financial crisis.
Barcelona is the home of Sónar, an annual three-day music festival held in Barcelona, Spain. It is described officially as a festival of Advanced Music and Multimedia Art. Music is by far the main aspect of the festival. The festival runs for three days and nights, usually starting on a Thursday in the third week of June.

Sónar By Day takes place in the Center of Contemporary Culture (CCCB) and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) very near to La Rambla. It usually starts around Midday and continues until around 10pm for each of the three days of the festival. The 'By Day' festival features Live Concerts, DJs, Multimedia Art, Record / Clothes Fairs, Technology Demos, The Sónar Cinema and various other activities.
Sónar by Night takes place away from the centre of Barcelona, there are special coaches put in place to transport festival goers to the huge venue. Sónar by Night has 4 locations occupied by distinguished national and international names from the world of electronic music. Each night DJs, VDJs and concerts from the broadest spectrum of dance music appear simultaneously in the 4 areas. Sónar by Night occupies an area of more than 10,000 square meters, divided between covered and open-air spaces.

Barcelona is the home of the Plaça de Catalunya, generally considered to be both its city centre and the place where the old city (see Barri Gòtic and Raval, in Ciutat Vella) and the 19th century-built Eixample meet. Some of the city's most important streets and avenues meet at Plaça Catalunya: Passeig de Gràcia, Rambla de Catalunya, La Rambla or Portal de l'Àngel, in addition to Ronda de Sant Pere, Carrer de Vergara or Carrer de Pelai. The plaza occupies an area of about 50,000 square metres. In May 2011 Plaça Catalunya was the main location where anti-government protests and sit ins were held in Barcelona, mirroring the events in other Spanish cities. The mosaics that decorate the walls of the underground part of Plaça Catalunya were designed by pupils of Escola Massana. Plaça Catalunya hosts quite a few interesting sculptures representative of Noucentisme, Neo-Classicism and different avantgarde movements. Most of the cafés and restaurants where writers and artists would meet in the city haven't survived, with the notable exception of Café Zurich, where Fabiola of Belgium's brother worked as a pianist. The following ones disappeared with the Spanish Civil War. The square is also one of Barcelona's most important transport hubs, both above and under ground.

The final is between Spanish side Barcelona and Manchester United of England, a repeat of the 2009 final held in Rome, Italy, which Barcelona won 2–0. Kick off is at 19:45 BST. The referee for the match is yet to be announced. The venue, the new Wembley Stadium, is hosting its first European Cup final, having opened in 2007. The old Wembley Stadium hosted the finals in 1963, 1968, 1971, 1978 and 1992.
Both teams entered the competition having won it three times previously, Manchester United in 1968, 1999 and 2008; and Barcelona in 1992 and 2006, as well as 2009. To reach the final, in the knockout phase Barcelona beat Arsenal, Shakhtar Donetsk and lastly Real Madrid in the 212th El Clásico derby, while Manchester United beat Marseille, Chelsea and Schalke. In their respective domestic seasons, both teams entered the final as Premier League and La Liga champions but neither team had won a domestic cup that season.
The winners will play against Porto, the winners of the 2011 UEFA Europa League Final, in the 2011 UEFA Super Cup in Monaco on 26 August 2011, and also enter the semi-finals of the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup in December of that year.

Gironese Sardana, the human castles from the Camp of Tarragona, street parades, originating from the spectacular processions which took place centuries ago for the celebration of Corpus Christi, concerts, street arts, street processions, concerts, traditional dances & fireworks.
Events take place day and night. Particularly spectacular is the Carrefoc, a midnight train of dragons, eagles and devils accompanied by fireworks. During the day, crowds pour into the streets of the Old Quarter to witness the red-and-blue costumed teams of castellers, who try to build the tallest human tower possible.
