BP Oil Spill Live Feed - Pressure Tests Underway
Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Horizon BP Oil Spill - Live Feed
As the Gulf of Mexico oil spill continues, optimism is growing that the latest capping attempt may prove successful, finally bringing an end to the flow of oil into the ocean.
Preparations are now well underway for a pressure test of the damaged oil well BP has said.
The test began late on Wednesday and is expected to last up to 48 hours. BP has said that valves were being positioned ready to gradually close the cap so that pressure could build up so the well's strength can be tested.
This live feed has a view directly over the leaking well, and will be one of the first to show whether the latest attempts are successful.

Phuket Webcam - Karon Bay Beach Live
Karon Bay beach in Phuket beach bar, restaurant deck and Andaman sea
A very popular tourist destination with visitors from around the world, the holiday resorts of Phuket offer fantastic weather all year round, glorious sandy beaches and a busy yet affordable lifestyle and nightlife with something for everyone to enjoy.
This webcam view comes from the beachfront at Karon Bay beach, one of the most picturesque and popular beaches on the island, and many would say in the world.
Karon Beach refers to a beach, and the town adjoining it, on the western coast of Phuket, Thailand.
The beach is a popular destination for tourists. Generally quieter than neighbouring Patong Beach, it is especially popular among families and couples, and less popular with singles than Patong. It is also especially popular with Scandinavian tourists, with many businesses catering especially to them.
Karon Beach was heavily damaged by the tsunamis following the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, especially in its southern regions, but has since largely recovered and by 2008 showed little evidence of tsunami damage.

Belfast Webcam - Orange Order March 2010
Belfast City Hall, looking out at Donegall Square North and Donegall Place
A feature of the summer in Northern Ireland are the various marches that take place in the country.
Orange walks are a series of parades held annually by members of the Orange Order during the summer in Northern Ireland, to a lesser extent in Scotland, and occasionally in England, the Republic of Ireland, and throughout the Commonwealth. These typically build up to the 12 July celebrations which mark Prince William of Orange's victory over King James II at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690. Although the term 'march' or 'parade' is widely used in the media, the Order prefers terms such as 'walk' or 'demonstration'.
The main march through Belfast on the 12th July will be covered by this webcam view, from Belfast City Hall, looking out at Donegall Square North and Donegall Place

Paphos Webcam - Live Cyprus Mediterranean View
View of the Paphos coast from Chlorakas Hill
A popular webcam view comes from the west coast of the island of Cyprus, looking towards Paphos (Pafos) and the Mediterranean.
Paphos is a coastal city in the southwest of Cyprus and the capital of Paphos District. In antiquity, two locations were called Paphos: Old Paphos and New Paphos. The currently inhabited city is New Paphos.
Near Palaepaphos (Old Paphos) at the seaside of Petra-tou-Romiou is the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty and the founding myth is interwoven with the goddess at every level, so that Old Paphos became the most famous and important place for worshipping Aphrodite in the ancient world. In Greco-Roman times Paphos was the island's capital, and it is famous for the remains of the Roman governor's palace, where extensive, fine mosaics are a major tourist attraction. The apostle Paul of Tarsus visited the town during the first century. The town of Paphos is included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world's heritage.

Vatican City Webcam, Rome, Italy
St Peter's Square in Vatican City
Saint Peter's Square (Italian: Piazza San Pietro) is located directly in front of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, the papal enclave within Rome. The open space which lies before the basilica was redesigned by Gian Lorenzo Bernini from 1656 to 1667, under the direction of Pope Alexander VII, as an appropriate forecourt, designed "so that the greatest number of people could see the Pope give his blessing, either from the middle of the façade of the church or from a window in the Vatican Palace" (Norwich 1975 p 175). Bernini had been working on the interior of St. Peter's for decades; now he gave order to the space with his renowned colonnades, using the Tuscan form of Doric, the simplest order in the classical vocabulary, not to compete with the palace-like façade by Carlo Maderno, but he employed it on an unprecedented colossal scale to suit the space and evoke emotions of awe.
