Event Information:

Since 1748 Trooping the Colour has also marked the official birthday of the British Sovereign. It is held in London annually on the second Saturday in June on Horse Guards Parade by St. James's Park, and coincides with the publication of the Birthday Honours List. Among the audience are the Royal Family, invited guests, ticketholders, and the general public. The colourful ceremony, also known as "The Queen's Birthday Parade", is broadcast live by the BBC.

The Queen travels down The Mall from Buckingham Palace in a Royal Procession with a Sovereign's Escort of Household Cavalry (also known as "Mounted Troops" or "Horse Guards"). After receiving a Royal Salute, she inspects her troops of the Household Division, both Foot Guards and Horse Guards. The King's Troop are also in attendance. Each year, one of the Foot Guards regiments is selected to troop their colour through the ranks of guards. Then the entire assembly of Household Division conducts a March Past around the Parade past the Queen, who receives their salute from the Saluting Base. (The Mounted Troops perform a Walk March and a Trot Past, and the King's Troop rank by with their guns, which are their colour.)

The music is provided by the Massed Bands of the Foot Guards and the Mounted Bands of the Household Cavalry, together with a Corps of Drums and occasionally pipers, totalling approximately 400 musicians. On return to Buckingham Palace, the Queen watches a further march past from outside the gates. Following a 41-gun salute by the King's Troop in Green Park, she leads the Royal Family onto the palace balcony for a Royal Air Force flypast.

Capital Gay Pride Parade 2011 Live Stream Washington DC Pride

The Capital Pride is an annual pride festival held in early June each year in Washington, D.C. As of 2007, the festival was planned and produced by Whitman-Walker Clinic, and is the fourth-largest pride event in the United States.

Capital Pride Parade Live

Event Information:

The festival was first held in 1975. Deacon Maccubbin, owner of the bookstore Lambda Rising, organized the city's first pride event, a one-day community block party held on 20th Street N.W. between R and S Streets N.W. in Washington, D.C. (the same block where Lambda Rising was then located). Two pickup trucks, one loaded with beer and another with soft drinks, served the crowd. About 2,000 people attended and visited about a dozen booths and vendors. In a surprising political move indicative of the growing political power of pride organisations in the city, several candidates for the D.C. City Council also attended and shook hands for several hours.

By 1979, the festival was drawing more than 10,000 attendees. Washington Mayor Marion Barry, elected the previous November, attended Pride that year as he would for the rest of his time in office. A community board of 11 organizations in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area assist Whitman-Walker Clinic in organizing Capital Pride. Whitman-Walker Clinic assigns a full-time staff member to Capital Pride, making this individual the event's only full-time employee. This individual acts as the executive director of the festival, and coordinates day-to-day operations, secures sponsorships, and oversees logistics.

24 Hours of Le Mans 2011 Live Streaming at the Circuit de la Sarthe

The 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans will be the 79th Grand Prix of Endurance, taking place on June 11–12, 2011 at the Circuit de la Sarthe, Le Mans, France, and organised by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO).

This live feed is at the Circuit de la Sarthe for the 24 Hours Le Mans 2011:

Le mans 24 Live

Race Information:

Le Mans is a race where up to 85% of the time is spent on full throttle, meaning immense stress on engine and drivetrain components. However, the times spent reaching maximum speed also mean tremendous wear on the brakes and suspension as cars must slow from over 200 mph (322 km/h) to around 65 mph (105 km/h) for the end of Mulsanne in a short distance. Downforce in the era of Group C cars helped braking to some degree but presently cars are tending towards low downforce to seek higher speeds in the face of power limiting regulations. Le Mans was most famous for its 6 km (3.7 mi) long straight, called Ligne Droite des Hunaudières, a part of the route départementale (for the Sarthe département) D338 (formerly Route Nationale N138). The Targa Florio featured the even longer Buonfornello straight along the coast, though. As the Hunaudières leads to the village of Mulsanne, it is often called the Mulsanne Straight in English, even though the proper Route du Mulsanne is the one to Arnage. The Porsche 917 long tail had reached 380 km/h, but after engine size was limited, the top speed dropped until the Group C allowed powerful turbo engines.

Speeds on the straight reached over 400 km/h (250 mph) during the late 1980s, and the combination of high speed and high downforce caused tyre and engine failures, as this circuit was extremely hard on both tyres and engines before 1990, less so in 1990 and beyond. Due to safety concerns two roughly equally spaced chicanes were consequently added to the straight before the 1990 race to limit the achievable maximum speed. In 1990 FIA decreed that it would no longer sanction any circuit which had a straight longer than two kilometres.

LA Pride Live

Event Information:

Christopher Street West (CSW) is the non-profit organization that produces the Los Angeles Pride Celebration (Parade and Festival) held every June in its host city of West Hollywood, California, USA.

Named after New York City's famed Christopher Street, the June 1969 site of the Stonewall Rebellion. The CSW parade was started in June 1970 the year following the Stonewall Riot, by a number of Los Angeles' activists, prominent among them Morris Kight, Reverend Troy Perry, and Bob Humphries. The first parade traveled east on Hollywood Boulevard starting from McCadden Place in the Hollywood section of Los Angeles, California. Although one of several pride parades that took place that day around the United States, this was the only "street closing" pride parade held in 1970 - something emulated by the other parades the following year. After several troubled years (no parade was held in 1973), the CSW parade returned in 1974, and originated yet another feature of the modern pride movement by adding a festival to its annual event.

It was renamed in honour of Canadian Formula One driver Gilles Villeneuve, father of Jacques Villeneuve, following his death in 1982. The venue hosted the Champ Car World Series Grand Prix of Montreal from 2002 to 2006. As part of Parc Jean-Drapeau, the Circuit is open to visitors, between races, for walking, running, biking, in-line skating, etc. During the few days of the Grand Prix, Île Notre-Dame is one of the noisiest places in Montreal. At just about any other time of the year, it is one of the quietest, being located in the middle of a river, on an island filled with greenery and animals, joggers and cyclists. However, on June 4, 2009, administration of Île Notre-Dame has forbidden the access of competitive cyclists to the circuit, justifying this as a security measure to avoid the increasing injuries that occurred between year 2008 and 2009. A total of 27 injuries have been reported. The ban on cyclists has since been lifted due to protests.

CMA Fest 2011 Live Stream Riverfront Stage Nashville Online Feed

The CMA Music Festival is a four-day music festival centered around country music hosted each June by the Country Music Association in Nashville, Tennessee. Begun in 1972 as Fan Fair, the event now draws over 400 artists and celebrities who hold autograph sessions and perform in one of the many concerts offered throughout the festival.

This live feed is in Nashville for the CMA Fest:

CMA Festival Live

Event Information:

During the festival, attendees can choose from over 150 hours of concerts that are offered on stages at Riverfront Park and LP Field. Until 2001, the evening concerts were organized by record labels, with each label choosing which of their artists would be able to perform, and for how long. Beginning with Fan Fair 2001, these main concerts were grouped instead by record distribution group. This allowed for four main concerts, for Sony, WEA/EMI, UNI, and BMG. Artists are held to very strict timeframes for their performances, with Martina McBride noting in 2007 that she was expected to be on stage for exactly 34 minutes, "not 30, not 35, but 34." The artists are not paid to attend the festival or for their performances during the festival.

Through 2000, the CMA Music Festival was considered a sell-out if 25,000 people attended. Attendees span all ages, from infants to the elderly and come from 41 different countries, including France, Australia, Germany, The United Kingdom, China, Japan, and Russia. After moving to its new, larger and air-conditioned home in 2001, attendance numbers soared, with the 2002 festival drawing 126,000 fans. Attendance slipped slightly the following year, partially because many of the more renowned country music stars declined to appear at the festival. However, in 2003, attendance was down only 1.7% over the year before, compared to a 25% decline in overall U.S. tourist travel for the same period. The attendance slippage was not permanent; in 2007, a record-breaking crowd of 191,000 people attended the festival.
